What is the difference between a "security door" and a "barrier door"?	Our "Clear View" range doors are classified as "Security Doors" as they are tested to and pass Australian Standard AS 5039. Our Diamond and Decorative doors are robust "barrier doors" or "safety doors". While they are built tough with quality locks and frames, they have not undergone the specific testing (like knife shear and impact tests) required to be formally rated as a Security Door. They are an excellent deterrent and safety measure for many homes
What is the diamond & decorative grille made from?	The grille is made from a special temper extruded aluminium, 7mm thick, solid which is strong, durable, and corrosion-resistant. It is securely riveted to the outer frame for maximum strength
What type of mesh is used to keep insects out?	Our standard offering for these doors is a durable fibreglass flyscreen mesh, which is excellent for keeping out flies, mosquitoes, and other common pests. Upgrades to stronger mesh options are available.
Can I get tougher mesh for this door?	Yes. While fibreglass mesh is standard, you can upgrade to a more robust mesh for added durability. Options include aluminium or stainless steel security mesh, perforated aluminium security mesh or X-Guard aluminium privacy security mesh which offer greater resistance to damage from pets or general wear and tear.
Does the Diamond & decorative Grille doors have a 3-point lock?	A single-point lock is included as standard. However, for enhanced safety and to make the door more secure against being forced open, we highly recommend upgrading to a triple-lock system.
How secure is the decorative Grille doors?	They provide a similar level of security to our Diamond Grille doors. The solid cast panel provides a strong visual deterrent and a robust physical barrier. For added security, we always recommend pairing it with a triple-lock system.

What is the typical timeframe from order to installation?	As all our doors are locally manufactured and made to order, the standard lead time is approximately 2-4 weeks from the final measure and order confirmation.
Will the new door handle conflict with my main door handle?	This is a common concern with older homes. Our installation experts address this during the measure and quote. We carefully check the position of your existing hardware and ensure the new lock is placed at a height that provides easy access and proper clearance for both handles.
