A Stronger Decorative Screen Door Option

Steel and aluminium combination screen doors are designed for homeowners who want more strength than a standard decorative aluminium grille, while still keeping a clean, practical and stylish door frame.

The welded steel grille provides a strong physical barrier and a classic design, while the aluminium outer frame keeps the door practical, stable and easier to operate than a full steel door.

At Sasco, every combination screen door is made to measure and installed by our experienced team. You can choose from available designs, standard colours, mesh options and practical extras such as triple locks where suitable.

Important: Combination Barrier Door vs Certified Security Door

Steel and aluminium combination doors are strong barrier doors or safety screen doors. They provide a solid physical barrier, insect protection, airflow and a strong visual deterrent. If you require a certified security door tested to Australian Standard AS 5039, please see our Clearview security door range.

Steel & Aluminium Combination Screen Door FAQs

Are these doors custom made?

Yes. Each door is made to measure to suit your doorway, selected design, colour and mesh requirements.

What is the benefit of steel and aluminium together?

The welded steel grille gives the door added strength, while the aluminium frame keeps the door practical, stable and easier to operate than a full steel frame.

Can I choose the colour?

Yes. Standard colour options are available, and non-standard powder coat colours may be available depending on your requirements.

Can the mesh be upgraded?

Yes. Mesh options may include fibreglass mesh, paw-proof mesh, DVA privacy mesh, stainless steel mesh, perforated aluminium mesh or X-Guard privacy mesh depending on the door and suitability.

Will the steel panel rust?

The steel grille is treated with a zinc-plated anti-rust coating before being powder coated. Regular cleaning and maintenance are still important, especially in harsh environments.

Are pet doors available?

Pet doors are generally not available in this range. Ask our team about alternative door ranges if a pet door is required.

Can I upgrade to a triple lock?

Yes. A triple-lock upgrade may be available and is recommended if you want the door to be harder to force open.

What warranty is provided?

These doors are backed by a 12-month Sasco warranty on the door structure and a 1-year warranty on the lock and hardware.
