Hardware Warranty | Workmanship Warranty | Manufacturer Warranty Support | Australian Consumer Law
This warranty page explains the warranty periods, conditions, exclusions and claim process for products supplied by Sasco Screens & Blinds Pty Ltd.
The warranty coverage for your product depends on the specific system you have chosen. In general, Sasco provides a direct warranty covering hardware components and installation workmanship, and where applicable, we help facilitate manufacturer warranty claims for core components such as the frame, grille and mesh insert.
This warranty is a warranty against defects and applies in addition to your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
Effective Date: June 21, 2025
Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For major failures with the service, you are entitled:
1. to cancel your service contract with us; and
2. to a refund for the unused portion, or to compensation for its reduced value.
You are also entitled to choose a refund or replacement for major failures with goods. If a failure with the goods or a service does not amount to a major failure, you are entitled to have the failure rectified in a reasonable time. If this is not done, you are entitled to a refund for the goods and to cancel the contract for the service and obtain a refund of any unused portion. You are also entitled to be compensated for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage from a failure in the goods or service.
The table below outlines the warranty periods generally applicable to each product system. Your original invoice and selected product range will confirm the product supplied.

Some product systems include a separate manufacturer warranty for frame, grille or mesh components. Where a manufacturer warranty applies, Sasco Screens & Blinds will manage and facilitate the claim process on your behalf for the relevant warranty period.

CARE & MAINTENANCE
For manufacturer warranties such as ScreenGuard®, PerfGuard® and X-Guard to remain valid, the product must be maintained according to the cleaning schedule provided by the manufacturer.
Cleaning and maintenance requirements may vary depending on your location, weather exposure, dust, salt, industrial areas, pets and general use.
This warranty does not cover faults, damage or deterioration caused by issues outside normal manufacturing, hardware or workmanship defects.
Damage caused by misuse, abuse, impact, accident, forced entry attempts or rough operation is not covered.
Failure to perform regular cleaning and maintenance may void warranty coverage.
Damage from harsh environments, weather exposure or normal fading over time is not considered a manufacturing defect.
Gradual fading or colour change caused by normal weather exposure is not covered by warranty.
Damage or faults caused by work performed by a person or company other than Sasco Screens & Blinds are not covered.
Damage to mesh or components caused by pets, animals or pests is not covered by warranty.
Your door or screen is installed to suit the structure as it exists on the day of installation. Warranty does not cover faults or damage caused by movement of the building structure after installation.
This includes house settlement, subsidence, shifting foundations, movement of brickwork, frame movement, door jamb movement or structural changes that cause misalignment of doors, frames, locks or locking mechanisms.
To make a claim under either the Sasco Warranty or a manufacturer warranty, the following conditions must be met.
You must retain and provide your original invoice to initiate a warranty claim.
All warranties are active only after the full purchase price has been received by Sasco Screens & Blinds.
The product must be cared for and maintained according to the guidelines provided.
Warranties are extended to the original purchaser and are not transferable to subsequent owners.
For service requests made after the first 12 months, a call-out fee may apply if the issue is not covered by an extended manufacturer warranty.
Manufacturer warranty claims are subject to the manufacturer’s own warranty terms and conditions.
