Sasco's Hardware & Workmanship Warranty

During the 12-month "Sasco Warranty" period, we guarantee our products against defects in hardware components and our installation workmanship. Should a fault covered by this warranty arise, Sasco Screens and Blinds will, at its sole discretion, determine the appropriate resolution, which may include:

  • Repairing the defective product or component at no cost.
  • Replacing the product with an identical or comparable item.
  • Refunding the full original purchase price.
Complimentary On-Site Evaluation Service

For the duration of the 12-month Sasco Warranty period, we offer a complimentary on-site assessment service. If you report an issue, our team will visit your location to evaluate the product. This service is provided free of charge, regardless of whether the fault is ultimately determined to be covered by our warranty.

Manufacturer's Warranty Claims

For products with a separate "Manufacturer's Warranty" (as detailed in the table), Sasco Screens and Blinds will manage and facilitate any claims on your behalf for the specified period. This warranty covers the frame and mesh components against defects as defined by the original manufacturer's own terms and conditions.

Warranty Conditions & Exclusions

For the manufacturer's warranty (ScreenGuard® & PerfGuard®) to be valid, the product must be maintained according to the cleaning schedule provided by Darley Aluminium, which will be supplied to you upon installation.

This warranty, across all tiers, does not cover issues arising from:

  1. Improper Use or Accidental Damage: Damage caused by misuse, abuse, accident, or forced entry attempts.
  2. Lack of Required Maintenance: Failure to perform the simple, regular cleaning required by the manufacturer.
  3. Environmental Factors & Normal Wear and Tear: Damage from harsh environments without proper cleaning, or normal fading of finishes over time.
  4. Third-Party Alterations: Any damage or faults caused by work performed by a person or company other than Sasco Screens and Blinds.
  5. Pest Damage: Damage to mesh caused by pets or other animals.
  6. Structural Movement & House Settlement: This warranty does not cover faults or damage arising from the movement of the building structure after installation. This includes, but is not limited to, house settlement, subsidence, or shifting of foundations which may cause the misalignment of doors, frames, and locking mechanisms. Your door is installed to be perfectly aligned with the structure as it exists on the day of installation; subsequent structural shifts are beyond the scope of our installation warranty.

General Warranty Conditions

To make a claim under either the Sasco or Manufacturer's Warranty, the following conditions must be met:

  • Proof of Purchase: You must retain and provide your original invoice to initiate any warranty claim.
  • Full Payment: All warranties are active only after the full purchase price for the goods has been received by Sasco Screens and Blinds.
  • Proper Care: The product must be consistently cared for and maintained in accordance with the guidelines provided by Sasco Screens and Blinds. Failure to do so may void the warranty.
  • Non-Transferable: All warranties are extended exclusively to the original purchaser and are not transferable to subsequent owners.
  • Service After 12 Months: For service requests made after the initial 12-month "Sasco Warranty" period has concluded, a call-out fee will apply if our assessment determines the issue is not a fault covered by the extended Manufacturer's Warranty.
